Like other grades of Zeolites, Z2 has the properties to be used in most applications that other grades of Zeolites are used for. However the most common use for this grade of Zeolite is in the area of Horticulture. Some of the main reasons that this grade of Zeolite is used in Horticulture is its ability to increase ph levels, CEC and water holding capacity in soils, turf and growing media. Z2 grade will aid in the availability in soil of such elements as N, K, Ca, and P. It also has the ability to absorb and neutralizes toxic matter such as Al, Fe, Mn and improve the structure of soil by better aeration (Air Porosity). In the past Commodities NZ Ltd has exported Zeolite to the USA (Florida) for use in turf applications.
